As I was reading it I was thinking about the power of love--connection and concern. So often we are so busy in our lives that we don't notice that another person might be in need or we don't respond because we are operating from a certain level of fear. The miracle started with you and your willingness to be present to the moment and act from that place--a place of love. You didn't allow fear to enter the picture. There were not many and I was getting nervous. There was only one place I wanted to work and they were possibly getting a new position opening. I watched and prayed that it would become open. Well, it did and I thank god for the miracle. Not only am I happy in my job but I still get to work for the company I love. I decided to pack up my son, myself and the two cats and make the long drive from Houston, Texas back to Northern California where I grew up. It's been almost two months since the move and looking for work has been tedious and disenheartening. Even though finances are a major struggle, I've felt extreme gratitude for my mother helping me out while I assist her in her recovery. Last week, I took a big breath as I signed another check to make sure my son & I have medical coverage and again was grateful that I have means, however limited, to take care of my family. The mail came that day and there was a letter from an financial firm that handled a brokerage account that I thought was closed over 16 years ago. Apparently, money was put into this account recently from a previous employer due to a merger! They had been trying to get a hold of me for months, but struggled since we'd moved many times over the last 16 years. It's not necessarily a windfall, but this little miracle has allowed me to breathe a sigh of relief. It reminds me that if I have faith and wake up to the world with gratitude for another day, I am truly blessed!!
